Optotek manufactures a range of LED printheads for high speed non-impact printing applications. These printheads, trademark Printstic®, incorporate integrated drive electronics and are available in resolutions up to 1000 dots per inch. On-board electronics accommodate LED uniformity correction or use of grey scale. Custom IC drivers and modular design allow construction of almost any length from common building blocks. Since each module has independent data input, the effective bit rate is independent of printhead length. Emission wavelengths can be selected from UV to near-infrared.
