Optotek's long term R&D activities are based on the Company's
extensive knowledge and experience in compound semiconductor and
optoelectronic technology and are aimed at product diversification and
enhancement.
The Company's continuing research into high efficiency, high
resolution LED arrays, in conjunction with specialized drive
electronics, has led to such unique products as recording heads for
film annotation and printheads for non-impact printing. Research in
these areas has concentrated on exploring printhead resolution, length
and photoreceptor compatibility.
Research in the area of CAE/CAT software focuses on expanding the capabilities for circuit design, modelling and testing.
