Linear LED Arrays

Optotek manufactures a selection of both standard and custom linear arrays. Applications vary from simple metering displays to high resolution web press printheads. Many linear arrays are also available with integral electronics including on-board uniformity compensation. Resolutions presently range from 10 DPI to 1200 DPI. Display lengths up to one metre are achievable at resolutions up to 600 DPI.

Display resolutions in colors other than red emitting GaAsP are limited by optical crosstalk. This limitation is caused by LED material transparency to its own emission. The resolution is therefore dependent on how much crosstalk can be tolerated.
